In September of 2003, it was time for a new car. I really had no idea exactly what I wanted, so a trip to the local dealerships was in order. After a walk around the lot, the only thing that really caught my eye was a 2001 PT Cruiser Touring Edition in stunning red. I loved the look of it, and after a test drive I was sold.
After several months (he says 8, I say it was less - and besides, I've NEVER driven his truck!!!) I let hubby drive it. He LOVED it! The plan was to get him his own after mine was paid for. But you know how those hubbies are when they whine! LOL.
He ordered his brand new 2004 Touring Edition in July, with a few perks. He got the chrome grill and tail pipe and a killer graphics design, as well as the chrome 5 spoke rims like mine has.
And don't they look gorgeous together...

An update here is long overdue. So...
The time came that we needed a new 4WD,
so we bought a red '05 Jeep Liberty.
Payments and insurance on three vehicles was just
a bit too much, so one had to go.
My gorgeous red PT was the oldest,
so it made sense that she would be the one to go.
Hubby would drive the Liberty full time and I would inherit the '04 black PT.
So that is exactly what happened in 2006.
I love the looks of the black PT, but miss my red beauty.
The smart thing to do is keep the black PT for a few more years,
and after that, who knows?
Maybe another new RED PT, or maybe something completely different.
I still love the overall look of the PT Cruiser, though,
and driving one is still
FUN!
