November 3, 2005

Look how he's grown! Eyes are open and he's really strong.

Today I made him a tiny spoon. Using one that came in some bird vitamins,

I heated it in boiling water and squeezed the sides in a bit.

He took to it like a pro!

And he's gained two more grams and is now at 22!

November 4, 2005

Moxie had the largest weight gain yet - 4 grams more than yesterday for a weight of 26 grams!

November 5, 2005

Moxie is 28 grams today and you can see the quills under the skin.

November 6, 2005

Another big weight gain, and Moxie is now 32 grams! He is now 8 times the weight he was at birth.

The beginnings of quills are even more evident today.

Same day, and same feeding, only

AFTER he's stuffed himself!

34 grams

He is growing by leaps and bounds now. I'm really looking forward to seeing those quills now!

Last night was the first time in 3 weeks that I've been able to sleep all night, from 11 pm to 6:30 am.

I probably could have done it a day or so sooner, but I really wanted to help him catch up after his rocky start.

Moxie takes up a lot more room in my hand than he did not long ago.

Another 4-gram gain! 44 grams today and big enough to band!

Biggest gain yet! 6 grams up from yesterday for a 50 gram weigh-in!

Moxie is really getting cute now! Up to 54 grams, too.

November 13, 2005

Four weeks old today, and a respectable 56 grams.

He was very squirmy at our picture session tonight. Pic on left is me holding him in my left hand and snapping the pic with my right, and pic on the right is hubby holding him as I took the pic. He's a pretty good handful now even for hubby.

A whopping 8 gram gain! Moxie is 64 grams today!

I think today calls for four pictures, just because he's so cute and he's gotten so big!

He sure fills out that Cool Whip container now!!!
